This month Alice has been reading (sounding out) three-letter words, and has read her first two Peter & Jane sight readers. The trick is keeping her interested and continuously thinking of new way to make it fun. She reads to dollies and toys, I give her a peanut or raisin/grape/bite of cheese/for reading. Any other tips?
When I do something she likes, she says "Good girl mommy!", and when she's been trying to get me to do something and I'm not quite understanding, and then I finally get it she says "That's better". When I suggest something she wants to do she says "That'd be great!" She likes Dora the Explorer, and when she doesn't quite know how to do something, she'll say "Let's stop and think".
